I’m not trying to speak for everyone. I know some people don’t even have frequent internet access or any, and I know some people have various disadvantages that could stop them from being an artist and/or other aspects of their lives, and I’m not trying to negate that. What I’m trying to say is that for the average person, finding work as an artist is not nearly as unlikely as most people make it out to be. I can’t speak for others, but I know that my life wouldn’t be half as good as it is right now if I hadn’t decided to become a freelance illustrator (and a lot of people told me not to try, and they were wrong in my case, so they might be wrong in yours too).
My book is for sale!
Please Stop Being Sad: Volume 1 is a 71 pages collection of cute, happy and funny drawings from my tumblr.
All the drawings are at the top of the pages, so you can add your own doodles or notes under them if you want. It’s in black and white, and you can get it here.
"Everyone who terrifies you is sixty-five percent water.
And everyone you love is made of stardust, and I know sometimes
you cannot even breathe deeply, and
the night sky is no home, and
you have cried yourself to sleep enough times
that you are down to your last two percent, but
nothing is infinite,
not even loss.
